Marc Stricklin’s work marries traditional photographic techniques and sensibilities with cutting-edge digital tools. Raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and other coastal cities of the south, Marc imbues his work with a Southern Gothic sense of foreboding and dangerous beauty within a context of minimalistic composition. The work often depicts individuals in extraordinary settings, humanity in an existential dance with nature.
Before transitioning to photography, Marc worked as an illustrator, gaining experience in various areas such as new media, graphic design, and creative direction for both still and motion projects. These diverse experiences continue to inform his work, where he merges photography with 3D-generated or manipulated settings, edited with the discerning eye of a designer and imbued with the dynamic energy of cinematic imagery.
