Luke Oppenheimer is a documentary photographer and visual storyteller based out of NYC with a background in Sustainable Agriculture and International Trade. He splits his time between NYC, his family farm in Oklahoma, and his travels abroad. He has lived and worked extensively throughout Latin America, Central Asia, and South-East Asia. His main topics of interest are climate change, humankind's relationship with the natural world, and visual travel logs. For the past 4 years, Luke has focused primarily on long-term projects in remote villages throughout Kyrgyzstan. His latest project documents a village struggling against an aggressive wolf population in the Tien Shan mountains.
Luke has been published by Modern Huntsman and EurasiaNet.Org for reportage in Kyrgyzstan, by Electrify Magazine for travel logs in South America, and has worked as an editorial photographer for Oklahoma Magazine.
