DENIS FRADKIN
Netherlands
Denis Fradkin, a conceptual art photographer based in the Netherlands, brings a striking perspective to the world of monochrome photography. His work captures architectural structures with a minimalist intensity, emphasizing intricate details often overlooked. Fradkin's artistic vision incorporates texture, form, and contrast, transforming ordinary elements into powerful visual statements. Each artwork invites viewers to explore the dynamic balance between simplicity and complexity, drawing attention to how lines, shapes, and patterns resonate within our collective memory. The resulting compositions highlight beauty through quiet contemplation.
"Project 'Fundamentals' aims to visualise the fundamental principles of metaphysics and natural sciences underlying the structures, dynamics, and dimensions of our existence through personal transformative experiences and my original academic research on fundamental reality, consciousness, and psychedelic experiences in an ultra-minimal black & white analogue photography format intended to re-assert the principles of classical art theory, aesthetics, and geometry in the context of irrational modern dystopianism, inspired by my all-time favourite artist M.C. Escher and initialised by my own favourite photo of all time ‘Minimalism’ . . ."
