Abruzzo is an Italian region, east of Rome, with an Adriatic coastline and the Apennine Mountains. National parks and nature reserves cover much of its rugged interior. Abruzzo is picturesque in its scenery. While many areas of Italy have changed significantly over time, Abruzzo remains largely the same.

It is often said that Abruzzo has as many castles as it does sheep. Most of this sleepy region has remained lock in medieval times making this region the first stop for those seeking to take a glance at the past or a chance to see nature as it was hundreds of years ago, unspoiled and perfect.

Abruzzo is well known for its wonderful snow in winter time. Since December the snow in Abruzzo has been falling. This winter most places around the Abruzzo region are completely white. Abruzzo's snow is magical.  Olive trees, medieval houses, castles, mountains and, roads are covering by snow. Is like if nature has just been past and its cold blast has left them quivering in a petrified stance.
