Jeremy Geddes is a talented and acclaimed photo-realistic painter from Wellington, New Zealand. Known for his "Cosmonaut" series of paintings, Geddes has made a name for himself with his unique and striking depictions of cosmonauts and people in empty, surreal landscapes.
Geddes' works often feature imagery that blends photorealism with post-apocalyptic themes, giving them a unique and striking aesthetic. Geddes studied painting at the Victorian College of the Arts and began working full-time as a painter in 2003. Along with his painting career, he also dabbled in illustration and comic book covers, in collaboration with friend Ashley Wood. He won the Spectrum Gold Award for his cover art for the comic, "Doomed." He also worked on children's picture book, "The Mystery of Eilean Mor", which was shortlisted for The Aurealis Awards, won the Crichton Award, and was named as one of CBC Notable Books in 2006.
Geddes' artwork has been showcased in galleries and exhibitions around the world, and has been highly praised by critics and fellow artists alike. His unique style and attention to detail have made him one of the most sought-after painters of his generation.
Currently, Geddes resides in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and pet whippet. He's also a gaming enthusiast, showing that besides being a brilliant painter he also have diverse interests.
