Andrea Isabel Schlumpp is an architect, landscape designer, and photographer whose life has spanned several countries. Having lived in Germany, Guatemala, Panama, and Mexico, she is now based in Argentina. For many years she worked as an architect and landscape designer, surrounded by tracing paper, pencils, and ink, yet she went everywhere with a camera in hand, and it is the camera she now uses as her primary means of expression. Drawn to travel and to discovering new places and the people who inhabit them, she explores the natural world with a designer's eye, constructing and deconstructing her images to reveal other realities, landscapes seen not merely as they are, but as they might be felt.
